Heuristics – is this just another buzzword? Why is it used so often when talking about optimization and what does it have to do with pizza? We explain what a heuristic is and how it works.

Optimization projects are complex and for our customers every optimization project is a journey into unknown territory. That’s why we divide our projects into 3 phases: the prototype, the minimum viable product and the fully productive product. After we have built a prototype in phase 1 and the Minimum Viable Product in phase 2, now comes the freestyle: all additional wishes and requirements are built in.

Life – and planning in particular – would be so much easier if we knew in advance what was going to happen in the future. Of course, that’s not possible. But with predictive analytics, we come pretty close, at least for our planning questions.
