Based on our OPTANO platform, we develop customized software for successful companies such as car manufacturers, airlines and leading strategy consultancies. Our company was founded in 2009 and has continued to grow ever since. Our team in Paderborn now comprises more than 70 employees.

As a Modeling Consultant (m/f/d), you are the interface between our customers and our optimization software. As an expert for our OPTANO Analytics products, you solve specific optimization issues for our customers.
Combine the best of two worlds: As part of the OPTANO team, you will work on international projects from our parent company Kearney and support global companies with innovative optimization solutions.
You will have a wide range of tasks which cover the entire development project:
- Analysis of complex optimization problems in areas such as network optimization and transport planning as well as logistics and production optimization
- Application of mathematical optimization models and possible solution methods in order to provide customers with strategic and operationally tailored advice
- Development of requirements, objectives and procedures in close cooperation with the customer
- Presentation of results and workshops to customers on site or remotely
- Support our sales and marketing teams with your expertise, e.g. by developing concepts
You will have the following qualifications:
While we consider soft skills and good teamwork to be indispensable, a few specialist skills are necessary to be able to work for us as a Modeling Consultant (m/f/x):
- A very good university degree and professional experience in business informatics, operations research, mathematical optimization, logistics, supply chain or comparable fields
- Understanding of business processes and data-driven decision-making
- Experience in the business of Consulting
- The ability to quickly adapt to new situations
- Fluent in German and English
As a Modeling Consultant (m/f/d), it is occasionally necessary to visit customers on site. We try to keep travel activities for our team to a minimum – also to make work and family life compatible. Over the course of the year, an average of three working days per month with customers is realistic for us.

This is a permanent full-time position and is available with immediate effect. However, we are flexible and would be willing to consider part-time models and a later starting date if you are unable to assume the position immediately.
