OPTANO is our platform for user-friendly applications. Many new ideas on visualization, process support, storage, faster calculation, etc. are just waiting to be implemented and this is where we need your support!
As an Analytics Software Engineer GenAI – Student (m/f/x), you and your team of consultants and software developers will assume customer projects on various optimization issues. A special focus will lie on topics regarding GenAI.
You will have a wide range of tasks which cover the entire products department:
- Develop prototypes or experiments to test the implementation of GenAI into our product suite
- Ensure good quality of GenAI outputs and conduct thorough analysis and evaluation of the outcomes of the GenAI experiments
- Documentation and presentation of findings and recommendations based on the experimentation results
- Other Software Engineering Tasks in our Product Team
Basic knowledge in at least one of the above-mentioned areas would be of advantage although on-the-job training will be provided.
As a student you will work closely with our experienced software engineers and managers (you will have direct contact to project managers, consultants and developers in the respective teams). Together you will find solutions which are impressive in quality and efficiency.

While we believe that soft skills and effective teamwork are essential, some professional skills are also required if you want to contribute to our company’s success as an Analytics Software Engineer GenAI – Student (m/f/x):
You should bring along the following:
- Currently studying (in the extended field of Information Technology Studies) and have a very good academic record
- Strong interest in and knowledge of artificial intelligence technologies, particularly GenAI
- Ability to work independently and drive the experimentation process
- You are interested in software development and at best have prior knowledge
- Analytical mindset and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication skills to present findings and recommendations
As a student you will receive ongoing training specifically in the applied technologies. Because you are interested in learning about new technologies and methods, you will constantly be up-to-date with current developments.

This is a fixed-term contract and the position is initially part-time. However, as a dynamic, expanding company we would be interested in a long-term working relationship.
