Sound interesting? Here are your responsibilities with us:
As Analytics Consultant (m/f/x) you will take on responsibility for individual software projects in which mathematical optimization is at the heart of the solution. You’ll work closely with clients, consultants, OR specialists, and software developers to help turn complex planning and decision-making problems into practical software solutions.
Your responsibilities will span the entire development project:
- Together with our clients, you will define requirements, goals, decision-making criteria, and constraints for optimization solutions
- You analyze complex planning and decision-making problems in a structured manner and translate them into viable optimization and software concepts
- Working closely with OR specialists and software developers, you will evaluate proposed solutions in terms of their business relevance, technical feasibility, and economic viability
- You translate customer requirements into clear concepts, specifications, user stories, and work packages for the project team
- You will confidently lead project teams of 2 to 5 employees and manage scope, schedule, quality, risks, and communication
- You will facilitate workshops and coordination sessions with clients, departments, IT, management, and development teams in a goal-oriented manner
- You use appropriate AI tools to efficiently support analysis, documentation, and quality assurance tasks
- You will support our sales team with your technical expertise, for example by providing solution outlines as well as feasibility and effort estimates
And here's what you'll need to know:
Even though we consider soft skills and good teamwork to be essential, a few professional skills are necessary to succeed as a Analytics Consultant (m/f/x) to contribute to our team:
- Several years of experience in consulting, project management, requirements engineering, business analysis, or product ownership in the context of software, analytics, or optimization projects
- A solid understanding of mathematical optimization or operations research—in particular, an intuition for which problems are suitable for optimization and where typical feasibility boundaries lie
- Ability to analyze complex customer problems and translate them into modelable requirements, decision-making logic, constraints, and target values
- A very good understanding of software development processes and the collaboration between the client, the consulting team, the operations team, and the development team
- Confident demeanor when interacting with customers, as well as excellent facilitation, communication, and presentation skills
- A structured, independent, and solution-oriented approach to work, with a good sense of priorities, effort, benefits, and feasibility
- Excellent written and spoken German and English skills
Experience in the following areas is a plus, but not a requirement:
- A college degree in operations research, mathematics, business informatics, or a related field
- Experience with agile or hybrid project methodologies
- Basic understanding of software architectures, interfaces, data models, and modern platform solutions
As Analytics Consultant (m/f/x) it is also occasionally necessary to visit customers onsite. We strive to ensure that our team’s travel commitments are as compatible as possible with their personal lives.
