OPTANO is our platform for user-friendly applications. Many new ideas for visualization, process support, data storage, and faster calculations are still waiting to be implemented, and we need your help to make that happen.
As Analytics Software Engineer (m/f/x) you will work alongside experienced colleagues to further develop the OPTANO applications and design project- or client-specific software modules based on our OPTANO platform. Your responsibilities are varied and include areas such as the data layer, calculation logic, and user interface.
Your responsibilities will span the entire development project:
- Verifying Requirements
- Design of the product's architecture and surface
- Software Implementation
- Targeted use of AI-powered development tools to support analysis, implementation, test automation, refactoring, and documentation
- Critical evaluation of AI-generated suggestions with regard to code quality, maintainability, security, performance, and subject-matter and technical accuracy.
- Quality Assurance
- Deployment and Operation in a Distributed Environment
And here's what you'll need to know:
Even though we consider soft skills and good teamwork to be essential, a few professional skills are necessary to succeed as a Analytics Software Engineer (m/f/x) to contribute to our team:
- Professional experience in consulting or similar project work, including the ability to clearly communicate the results achieved
- Initial practical experience with, or a strong interest in, AI-driven software development, as well as the responsible integration of relevant tools into day-to-day development work
- A strong vocational or college degree in computer science, business informatics, mathematics, or a related field is desirable
- Excellent knowledge of object-oriented programming
- Strong analytical skills
- Experience with common development tools (e.g., Microsoft Visual Studio or JetBrains Rider)
- Excellent written and spoken German and English skills
Experience in the following areas is a plus, but not a requirement:
- Development in ASP.NET Core and React
- Working with cloud technologies (e.g., Azure or AWS)
- Continuous Integration (e.g., GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps, JetBrains TeamCity)
- Continuous Delivery (container technologies, e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
- Data Pipelines/Data Transformations
- Database Design and Object Mappers (Entity Framework)
- Use of web front-end technologies (Bootstrap, SASS, CSS, JavaScript)

The employment contract for this position is for full-time, permanent employment, and the position is available immediately. However, we are very flexible and are open to part-time arrangements and a later start date. As a dynamic, growing company, we are interested in a long-term partnership.
