OPTANO Modeling is an API for mathematical modelling and optimization. It facilitates the transition from technical problems to mathematical optimization models and supports developers in efficiently implementing complex optimization problems.
The solution is based on a powerful .NET architecture and offers extensive functions for the development of modern optimization software.
Available free of charge
The use of OPTANO Modeling is basically free of charge. The entire API has been published under the MIT license and can be used freely within the scope of this framework. OPTANO Modeling can of course also be purchased with a commercial license. This offers additional services such as a comprehensive warranty and professional support and service.
Conserving resources
OPTANO Modeling was developed in such a way that only a few system resources are required. Thanks to its low memory requirements, the API merely acts as a lean intermediate layer between your software and the solver and can be seamlessly integrated. Apart from the solver, no other components are required that cannot be controlled directly via your software. The technical basis is the .NET Framework, which is available in all versions from Windows 7 onwards.
Free solver selection
OPTANO Modeling deliberately supports a variety of solver technologies. Projects can easily be started with free solvers such as GLPK or Z3. If higher performance requirements arise in the course of a project, commercial solvers such as Gurobi, CPLEX or Xpress can also be used. The solver used can be easily replaced in OPTANO Modeling at any time.
Suitable for the OPTANO platform
The OPTANO platform offers the ideal environment for quickly developing and implementing powerful, enterprise-ready software solutions. Although OPTANO Modeling can be used easily and flexibly in a wide variety of environments, it unfolds its full potential particularly in combination with the OPTANO platform.
Avoid development risks
With OPTANO Modeling, mathematical modelling is implemented as it should be: type-safe optimization models can be created and comprehensively tested. Detailed versioning, unit and integration tests and structured documentation ensure transparency, traceability and early error detection. OPTANO Modeling integrates seamlessly into the development processes - like a natural part of the application code.
From software developers for software developers
The API was developed by software developers who have already implemented hundreds of optimization applications. It is consistently geared towards the requirements of software developers and therefore differs from modeling systems that were primarily designed for mathematicians. The API is designed for simple and practical use, is comprehensively documented and is clearly explained with numerous examples.
