OPTANO Linehaul Analyzer analyzes existing linehaul schedules and uncovers potential savings. The software identifies inefficient structures, low capacity utilization and redundant connections and identifies specific opportunities for improvement.
A particular focus is on the intelligent consolidation of journeys: OPTANO Linehaul Analyzer identifies where transports can be bundled without affecting service levels or lead times. This allows vehicles to be better utilized, costs to be sustainably reduced and existing networks to be designed more efficiently - based on data, transparently and comprehensibly.
Settings
Various parameters make it possible to control the options for consolidating journeys in a targeted manner. Time restrictions ensure that consignments reach their next stop on time despite consolidation. Settings for travel speed or costs per kilometer help to realistically map the special features of the respective network. Other options also make it possible to flexibly limit or expand the scope of consolidation and thus reduce or increase the number of possible consolidation proposals.
Charging modes
In addition to various setting options, trips can process information on different loading modes. Combinations of loading modes - such as cages and pallets - can be permitted or prohibited, and certain conversions between loading modes can be enabled. The OPTANO Linehaul Analyzer automatically adjusts available capacities to possible loading modes. These can also be limited depending on the start and destination locations approached, so that only those loading modes are suggested that are realistically feasible.
Exceptions
Some combinatorics cannot be implemented due to special requirements, such as customs checks or vehicle round trips. To prevent such suggestions from being displayed repeatedly, the Linehaul Analyzer allows you to define them as exceptions. Exceptions can be defined based on specific lever types or across the board for each trip.
Identified efficiency potential
The OPTANO Linehaul Analyzer works with various levers for consolidating trips. The highest savings potential results from the „capacity reduction“ lever, which allows two trips to be combined into one trip if the available capacity of the receiving trip is sufficient. The creation of multi-stops is also analyzed and additional costs for additional stops in a route are deducted from the savings potential.
Results analysis
All accepted combinations can be easily analyzed in a separate savings view or exported for further analysis. Savings can also be reversed to enable a different combination of journeys if necessary.
