Careers at OPTANO - Growing together

You don't just want a job, but a place where you can develop yourself further? Welcome to OPTANO!

We are convinced that people can only develop their full potential if they work in an environment that promotes their development. That's why we create space for curiosity, responsibility and excellence - and accompany you on your journey.

That is why we are guided by the GROW concept, which for Goal, Reality, Options and Will stands. It helps us not to leave development to chance, but to provide targeted support: Together, we define goals, take an honest look at the current situation, explore new opportunities and implement concrete steps. This creates a framework in which you can grow - professionally, personally and as part of a strong team.

Goal (objective)

We define your goals together: whether professional, personal or team-related. In six-monthly development meetings with your mentor, we will clarify where you want to go - and how we can support you.

Reality (actual state)

We analyze together where you stand: What strengths do you bring to the table? What challenges do you see? And what resources are available to you? Openness and transparency are our foundation.

Options (possibilities)

You will be given space to think in new ways: further training, project change, internal role development or professional specialization. We encourage initiative and offer you options that suit you.

Will (implementation)

Ideas become concrete steps: With clear agreements, regular feedback and a structured mentoring program, we support you in achieving your goals.

Our application process in detail

We want to support you right from the start. So here are a few tips and information about our application process.

Your application is the first impression we get of you. That's why you should emphasize your achievements.

  • Check to what extent your skills and experience harmonize with the job description.
  • Tell us about projects you have worked on. What was the result? How did you define success?
  • For professionals: Tell us about previous positions you have held. How big was the team? How extensive were the projects?
  • For students and young professionals: Attach relevant projects or seminar papers that highlight your knowledge and skills.
  • Check that your documents are complete. The following attachments are expected:
    • Employment references
    • Relevant work samples
    • Certificates and documents
    • For students: current certificate of achievement
  • Keep it short: Limit your cover letter to one page. If additional information is required, a recruiter will contact you.

The qualifications in the respective requirements profile of the job advertisement should help you to find the position that best suits you and your expectations. Our recruiters also keep these requirements in mind while reading your application.

Applications are read by people who are both experts in their field and familiar with our company's jobs - not just the one you have applied for. This allows our recruiters to consider a possible assignment in all of our company's positions.

Once a job opportunity has been found, a recruiter will contact you again to arrange an initial interview. Bring your questions - this is your opportunity to find out more about the job and our opportunity to find out more about you.

We look forward to meeting you and would like to get to know you.

After a successful application, we want to get to know you better. So that you can prepare yourself sufficiently for the personal interview, we will give you a brief overview of the process:

  • Short presentation of the curriculum vitae
  •  Interdisciplinary criteria and job-related motivation
  • Case 1: Problem structuring / numbers
  •  Case 2: Creativity / Communication / Technical know-how
  • Working in our company / job
  • Feedback

After a successful application, you are now part of our team. To ensure a smooth and structured start with us, we have developed a special onboarding program:

  • Mentoring program: All of our colleagues are assigned a mentor with whom they exchange feedback on personal developments and projects at regular intervals.
  • Structured check-in: To ensure that nothing is overlooked, you and your mentor will work through a standardized checklist for your start with us.
  • Personal contact persons: During the induction phase, a colleague will be at your side to support you and resolve any uncertainties.
  • Special onboarding: The induction program varies depending on the position. Your contact person is an expert in his/her field and will help you to develop your professional skills. For developers, there is also a standardized curriculum in which small lessons are designed to facilitate familiarization with our OPTANO technology platform.
  • Part of the team from day one: start directly in the team and work together with us on projects. On-the-job training systematically prepares you for the opportunity to take on your own projects.

If you have any questions, please contact us.
