Based on our OPTANO platform, we develop customized software for successful companies such as car manufacturers, airlines and leading strategy consultancies. Our company was founded in 2009 and has continued to grow ever since. Our team in Paderborn now comprises more than 40 employees.

OPTANO is our platform for user-friendly applications. Many new ideas on visualization, process support, storage, faster calculation, etc. are just waiting to be implemented and this is where we need your support!
As a UI/UX Software Engineer (m/w/d) you will work with a team of experienced colleagues on the further development of the OPTANO platform to enable optimal user experience and usability!
You will assume a wide range of tasks which will cover the entire development project:
- Eliciting requirements by developing use cases in close collaboration with internal and external clients
- UI conception: Designing UI with the focus on an optimal user experience based on the descriptions in the use case and/or data model concepts
- Implementing the developed UI concept
- Supporting our team with your expertise in UI/UX
You have the following qualifications:
While we believe that soft skills and effective teamwork are essential, some professional skills are also required if you want to contribute to our company’s success as a UI/UX software engineer (m/f/x).
- You have successfully completed training or have a university degree in media design/interface design/IT or a similar field.
- Sound analytical skills
- Experience in development tools such as Microsoft Visual Studio or JetBrains Rider
- Experience in creating mockups with tools such as Balsamiq or Figma
- Practical experience in development using Blazor or in the application of other web-frontend technologies (Bootstrap, SASS, CSS, JavaScript)
- You have an aptitude for design and a passion for frontend development
Experience in the following is desirable, yet not essential:
- Basic knowledge of object-oriented programmin
- Continuous integration (e.g. JetBrains TeamCity)

This is a permanent full-time position and is available with immediate effect. However, we are flexible and would be willing to consider part-time models and a later starting date if you are unable to assume the position immediately.
