We are dynamic, versatile team players and always looking for the best solution. In our agile project teams, we therefore combine our expertise in operations research, software development and consulting to solve real-world problems using complex mathematical optimization methods. Based on our OPTANO platform, we develop custom-fit software for successful companies such as car manufacturers, airlines and leading strategy consultancies. Since our foundation in 2009, we have been growing continuously. Our team at the Paderborn location now comprises more than 35 employees.

Your tasks are varied and extend across the entire development project:
- Establishing contact to clients and assessing their requirements for mathematical optimization solutions
- Preparing the requirements, objectives and procedures in close cooperation with the client
- Creating publicity and sales material together with our Marketing team
As a Business Developer you will also be expected to visit our clients on occasion. We try to keep these business trips at a minimum so that you can still maintain a good work-life balance. As a Business Developer in our team you can realistically expect to work away from home three working days per month (on average).

Even though we consider soft skills and a good working relationship to be indispensable, a few professional skills are necessary to be able to contribute to our company as Business Developer (m/f/d):
- A very good university degree
- Good analytical abilities
- Excellent communication skills when dealing with clients
- A willingness to familiarize yourself in new areas of expertise
- The ability to establish new contacts, identify your counterpart's needs and respond to these appropriately
- A high level of competency in holding presentations and the ability to capture an audience with your story
- Very good German and English
As a Business Developer (m/f/d), it is sometimes necessary to be present on site with customers. We try to keep travel for our team to a minimum – also to make work and family life compatible. Over the course of the year, an average of three working days per month at customer sites is realistic.

The employment contract for this position provides for a permanent full-time position and is to be filled immediately. However, we are very flexible and can also imagine part-time models and a later start. As a dynamic, growing company, we are interested in a long-term cooperation.
